Island Activities

There is an abundance of activities on Arran, including 7 golf courses, hill-walking, sea and freshwater fishing, tennis, pony trekking, sea kayaking sailing and hang-gliding.

A haven for wildlife, the island is also perfect for seal watching and bird spotting.

As well as Brodick Castle and many other historic sites, there are craft shops, dairy produce outlets and even Arran's distillery in Lochranza to visit.

There is now a walkers track around the shores of the whole island, but much shorter walks abound and are well represented in various booklets available in shops and tourist offices. Nearby in Kildonan we have the most beautiful walk up to the waterfall at Eas Mor where one can relax in a turf roofed chalet complete with its own library, and surrounded by mixed woodland.
